Terms and Conditions

Online shops have two options for forming a sales contract:

  1. The website makes an offer of sale, and the customer accepts;
  2. The website shows information representative of a typical sales contract, the customer makes an offer of trade, and the shop accepts.
This website uses the latter option, in order to avoid selling alcohol to children. A sales contract will only be deemed to have been undertaken and fulfilled once:

Ownership of goods will transfer upon completion of the sale.

Both parties will comply with the law regarding the sale of alcohol. You acknowledge that it is an offence to:

Your ID will be checked upon delivery; passports and driver's licences are valid. If you look under 25 and do not have the correct ID, the sale will be refused (Challenge 25), and you must return the goods. It is the customer's responsibility to have the correct ID at the ready.

You will drink responsibly.

You will not hold Brett Johnson liable for direct or indirect consequences of drinking alcohol.

This business is licenced for the sale of alcohol by retail, not wholesale. You must therefore not be a trade customer.

Due to licensing restrictions, you cannot purchase / collect alcohol from the premises without a prior appointment, nor can you collect / request a delivery outside the hours of operation (9-9 Mon-Sat, 10-4 Sun). However, you can place an order whenever you want.

Prices calculated on the order form are for your convenience only; correct values are calculated by the server. In the event of a discrepancy, such as user tampering of the form, the server values take precedence. You will be presented with the correct total before making a payment transaction; if you disagree with this figure, simply cancel your order.

If you wish to cancel your order, you may do so at any time before you receive the goods ordered, and within 14 days of receipt of goods. You may do so by any reasonable means, including via post, email, phone and vocally. No notice is required. In the event that your order has already been despatched by courier, you will return the goods first.

In the case of cancellation, all fees will be refunded, however the customer will be responsible for return delivery. If the trader is forced to pay for return, this amount may be offset against the refund.

The seller, Brett Johnson, may refuse a sale on any grounds, anytime before the sale is complete. This will be accompanied by a refund. Where insufficient / inaccurate contact information has been given, notification is not necessary (e.g. if someone typed "wtgieuyhbfa" in the order form for a laugh).

Returns are in accordance with your statutory rights and the distance selling regulations. For clarity, the distance selling regulations give you 14 days from receipt of goods to cancel the sale. If you need to return goods by courier, you are responsible for those costs.

Delivery times will be arranged if "Yeovil free delivery" or "collection appointment" are selected. If "courier delivery" is selected, the goods will be sent the next working day, and should arrive within 3 days of ordering. If paying by BACS, please be aware that goods will only be delivered once payment is visible in the seller's account, which may add another 3 working days if the Faster Payments Service is not available.

There is an assumption that the customer wants their goods as soon as possible, unless otherwise agreed. The seller will not be held liable for early delivery of goods, nor delivery that fails due to customers not being available to receive said goods.
